Agess runs 10.4 at Heathcote drags
What’s the best thing to do the day after Christmas? Go drag racing for sure!
So on boxing day the boys rolled up to Heathcote to support Agess in his quest for a 10 second drift car.
In typical Agess form, nothing ever goes to plan and his sence of direction is probably the worst of any person walking this earth. A couple of wrong turns led us down some track, but luckily we ran into some other guys on there way to Heathcote so we just followed them.
As soon as we made it through the gates, we quickly realised this was no Calder street meet, there were some serious drag cars here.
Including some jet powered cars!

We even got to see Timmy’s old RX3 coupe put down some runs, still in the same trim as when he had it years ago.
And NOS bottles as far as the eye could see…….mmmmmmmmm.
And the other jap import there on the day.

Even big bad Barry Hall was there with a tough as nails ute on NOS.
So onto the fist run for the day. After the ever so close time of 11.06 at Calder earlier that month Agess has only had a 10 second pass on his mind, so that’s what we were praying for, get it done early before he breaks anything and have fun.
And he didnt disappoint, putting down a 10.91 on his first pass!
Next up was a sweet battle with a LS1 ute with the plates EATPSI. Well guess what? He didnt eat psi he got smashed by psi, with Aggi going quicker and putting down a 10.61.
As the day progressed he kept putting down good times, and made a couple of ride height adjustments to get more tyre on the track which only helped him go quicker.
In the end Agess finished putting down a 10.49 and finished his day with a missed gear during the finals of the comp. So you really cant knock the car with how it performed, running consistant 10 second passes on a standard internal SR20 manual in drift set up (with the only exception being tyres), nothing broke and everyone went home happy.

We had the in car camera set up for the day and will have them vids up in the coming days also. You really get to see the car launch hard and the stealth gear changes.
Could this now be the fastest drift car in the country???

Ever heard the saying “when the flag drops the bullshit stops!”? your argument about “big turbo and heaps of boost to keep up with NA power” is not really an argument dude, you could of slapped a couple of turbos on your V8, or a blower, but you chose to keep it NA and thats your choice. You run what you brung, and what you brought got shit on, no need to act like a princess about it, do your engine work, get some slicks, head back to the track, and hopefully your driveline dont shit itself.

Reason i say this is because i have seen this blue ute on princess hwy beating an xr6 turbo that runs high 10′s, convincingly too.. Never seen a v8 that does that. I have a s15 myself mildly modified so im with the turbos. i just give credit where credit is due, even though i cant stand v8 crap. Cant blame the guy for trying to see what his car does with big wheels. Boban.

didnt the 180 run slicks? From what im reading looks likt that ute was on 19inch or 20inch street tyres. Simply cant compare. I think the ute would run rings around you if you were both on the same tyres whether its streets or slicks. Just my opinion

Simple fact is, you have plates that state “you eat forced induction vehicles”, which is a pretty bold claim, so you probably need to back that up. But anyway, you had a race against a forced induction vehicle at heathcote which happened to be Agess’ 180.
You lost. It’s as simple as that. He ran 10.6 you ran 14.0. so matter how much you argue it happened and you didnt win. Also i dont beleive you put down a 10 sec pass at any other stage during the day, so you would have lost every one of those.
We didnt start paying out on you, we just stated a 3.5 second win is pretty big and the fact you have those plates on your car made it funny because you didnt live up to what the plates claim. Thats all.
So you can take your stories about who you beat and how fast your car is going to be with you. But make sure you come back and let us know what actual times you run at the next drags, we would be interested to know.

My girlfriends car only lost by 3 car lengths, not bad for 126kw atw! That day I went home and told the boys i raced some off its face ute sounded like a monster and got buffed. Thought it was a pretty good effort. Didnt know that was your car at the time, its good but dont think its good enough for my car. Hurry up and get this 6.8ltr going cuz i wanna c how it goes. Im building a new engine atm and will be quicker than the one in my car now. I wont need it for the race cuz im happy with my efforts atm.

i whouldnt say its a big turbo i think TD06′s r mid size turbos and nothing wrong wit a lil boost the 4 bangers loves it…. but man you got 4 more cylinders LOL……..

yo, ladys & gentlemen. it ok to talk shit & tell everyone what could, should & will do but at the end of the day when all is said & done the winner & those whatching know who’s the fastest. a 10.4 pass compared to a 14.0 is by far quicker. arguing or as a v8 owner would be crying that his car will go better next time is pointless. top fuel cars is the only v8 i like. when they run they lay down a 5 second pass. my intention for my drift car, yes DRIFT car is to slide. a drag run was for a laugh. ill take it to the street & await the 6.8ltr fuel munchn waist of money car to try its luck against the standard 2ltr sr20. ( turbo & cams)
spare $600 and go buy some slicks & bring it back to the strip & lay down the best time it will ever do.

12.4 on street tread ay thats alriight for a 4k to 5k 6. what ever liter motor. but on the other hand i think 12.3 spinning half the 1/4 with a STD PSI 4 banger with $83 street tread LMAO comes out on top and im the shitest drag racer out there LOL.
imagin if agess was in my car pfffffff game freaking over!!!!!! bring on the 6.8 liter mate and i’ll keep my car as is with $100 street tread and we’ll see how it all pans out………………. both mine and agess motor are standard. i think jamie EATPSI motor is worth more then both our car’s put together and we still come out on top any day of the week….lol PS sorry about spelling
